Ghent, WV : One person Dead, 4 Injured in a fatal car Crash on I-77 near Ghent Toll Booth on Sunday, March 22, 2015

Troopers released new information on Monday about a fatal car crash near the Ghent Toll Booth on I-77. Police said the man responsible for the crash is wanted in another state.
Sgt. Alexander with the Turnpike detachment of WV State Police said Rafael Herrera, 43, pulled off the interstate near the toll booth on Sunday. When he pulled back on I-77, Herrera started driving north in the southbound lane. After swerving past several cars, Herrera hit another car head on. Troopers said the woman driving that car is Lisa McCormick, 43, of Knoxville, TN. She died in the accident. Three children traveling with her were critically injured. Police said two of the children were McCormick's and the third is a family friend's. All three children were life-flighted to CAMC and are in critical condition.
Sgt. Painter with WV State Police said Herrera is wanted in Pennsylvania for making terrorist threats and is on probation in Florida. Troopers told 59News that Herrera is in a Beckley hospital. Once he's released, police said he'll face charges in West Virginia.
