Knoxville, TN : One dead in a one-vehicle crash on Middlebrook Pike in Knoxville on Thursday, October 30, 2014

A woman was taken to U.T. Medical Center after a one-vehicle crash on Middlebrook Pike east of Robinson Road around 8:30 a.m. Thursday. Police say 30-year-old Melanie Sheffler, of Knoxville, was driving west when her SUV hit a utility pole and rolled down a ditch. KUB had to close some lanes for a few hours to repair damaged power lines and the pole. Sheffler was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
