ALAIEDON TOWNSHIP, MI : Bicyclist injured in crash in Alaiedon Township on Friday, 23rd August 2019 5 mins ago

A bicyclist was struck by a vehicle Friday and taken to the hospital with "severe head trauma."

The bicyclist was hit going south on Okemos Road, in Alaiedon Township near Willoughby Road, after swerving in front of a southbound vehicle, a witness told the Ingham County Sheriff's Office. The bicyclist was taken to the hospital and police are still investigating the crash.

Police did not have any identifying information on the bicyclist Friday night. The vehicle was driven by a 71-year-old Mason man.

Okemos Road was closed from Holt and Sandhill roads while investigators from the Ingham Regional Crash Investigation Team, Michigan State University Police and East Lansing Police were investigating the crash.
