Phoenix, AZ : Motorcycle driver dies after crash on Tuesday September 30th 2014.
Authorities say a motorcycle driver is dead after hitting a wooden guard rail post in Phoenix.
The victim has been identified as 51-year-old William Thomas Griffith.
Phoenix police say he lost control of his motorcycle about 1:45 p.m. Tuesday and it struck a curb and then hit a wooden guard rail post.
Griffith was thrown from the motorcycle and was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police say Griffith was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and it's still unknown if speed or impairment was a factor.
