Malibu, CA : Olympian and reality TV star unhurt as one driver killed in four-car crash near Corral Canyon Road on Saturday afternoon, February 7, 2015

Olympic gold medalist Bruce Jenner was in one of the cars involved in a four-vehicle crash on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu that killed a woman, Los Angeles County authorities said Saturday.

Jenner wasn't hurt, but seven other people suffered minor to moderate injuries in the crash that happened shortly after noon on the famous coastal highway, said Art Marrujo, a dispatch supervisor with Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Sheriff's Deputy Ryan Rouzan said Jenner was an occupant of one of the four vehicles. Jenner's publicist, Alan Nierob, said Jenner wasn't hurt, but he offered no additional details.

A freelance photographer for The Associated Press said a white sedan that was involved in the crash was crumpled in the front and back. It was facing a black Hummer with a heavily damaged front end.

The accident comes at a time of widespread speculation that Jenner, 65, is transitioning to become a woman. Jenner has not publicly spoken about the transition, but his appearance has gradually become more traditionally feminine.

Jenner won a gold medal in the men's decathlon at the 1976 Summer Games, but he is best known to a younger generation as Kim Kardashian's stepfather. He and Kris Jenner frequently appeared on the reality series "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" along with their children, and the pair's relationship and its troubles have been featured prominently on the show.

The two finalized their divorce late last year, ending 23 years of marriage.
