Beaverton ,OR : Three people injured after two-vehicle crash caused by drinking on Friday night ,May 15th 2015

A Beaverton man taken to the hospital by helicopter Friday night after a two-vehicle crash had been drinking, according to Beaverton police.

Jordan Seroy, 24, was driving south on Murray Boulevard when his car crossed the center line and hit a northbound vehicle. He sustained minor injuries.

Police said Saturday that they suspect alcohol was a factor and are conducting a DUII investigation.

A passenger in the other vehicle, 32-year-old Evgeniya Yusupov, was seriously injured but expected to recover, police said. The driver, Beryl Castro, 38, sustained minor injuries. Both were taken to the hospital for treatment.

A third vehicle, carrying a man and two children, struck Castro's car because the driver said he couldn't stop in time. None required medical attention.

Beaverton police spokesman Jeremy Shaw said he didn't know whether anyone remained hospitalized Saturday.

The collision occurred 10 minutes after a man chasing his dog was struck on Murray Boulevard. The man was taken to a hospital while the dog was taken to an emergency veterinary clinic. Police did not cite the driver.
