San Antonio, TX : Bicyclist in serious condition following hit-and-run crash on Southwest Side on Saturday, July 23, 2016

A bicyclist is in serious condition Saturday after being run over by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash on the Southwest Side, according to police.

Police at the scene said a 50-year-old man was riding his bike in the middle of New Laredo Highway sometime before 3 a.m. when a blue vehicle crashed into him.

The bicyclist suffered head trauma and was transported in serious condition to San Antonio Military Medical Center.

The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash fled the scene. Police are still looking for the suspect.
