Tempe, AZ : 20-year-old Chezray Young killed in a high-speed collision in Tempe early Monday, January 18, 2016

Police have identified the man killed in a high-speed collision in Tempe.

They say 20-year-old Chezray Young and a passenger were transported to a hospital after their vehicle was rear-ended early Monday.

Police say Young was driving the car and was later pronounced dead.

The passenger remains in critical condition. His name hasn't been released.

They say 30-year-old Stanley Chu of Phoenix was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter, aggravated assault, endangerment and hit and run.

In court documents, police say Chu admitted to drinking before driving that night.

Police say Chu's BMW was clocked at more than 70 mph in a 40 mph zone at the time of the crash.

Bond was set at $150,000 for Chu at his initial court appearance Tuesday. He doesn't have a lawyer yet.
