Tulsa, OK : California woman dies after I-40 crash near Okemah on Monday, December, 18th 2017

A California woman died Monday after she went into cardiac arrest and crashed while driving on Interstate 40 about 4 miles west of Okemah, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

An eastbound Dodge sedan driven by Sherry Robinson, 70, of Livermore, California, went off the highway and struck a tree, the OHP reported.

Medical personnel pronounced Sherry Robinson dead at an area hospital.

Her passenger, George Robinson, 71, was taken to an Oklahoma City hospital in serious condition, according to the report.
