BEDINGTON, WV : Hedgesville man killed in head-on crash in the 4000 block of Williamsport Pike, which is also U.S. 11, in the area of Bedington Crossroads on Monday, 24th February, 2020

A Hedgesville man was killed Monday afternoon in a head-on crash on Williamsport Pike near Bedington, West Virginia State Police said.

Minas Marangos, 62, was flown to Inova Alexandria Hospital in Virginia but was pronounced dead on arrival, according to a state police news release.

The 5:19 p.m. crash occurred in the 4000 block of Williamsport Pike, which is also U.S. 11, in the area of Bedington Crossroads, police said.

Marangos was northbound in a 2007 Mitsubishi car on Williamsport Pike when a 2008 Chrysler car driven by David Kirby, 60, of Williamsport, crossed the centerline for unknown reasons and struck Marangos’ car, the release said.
