Puyallup, WA : 1 dead, 2 injured after Kent hit-and-run crash on Sunday, February 12th 2017

A woman was killed and two people were hospitalized late Saturday after a fatal hit-and-run crash in Kent, according to police there.

Police responded to the crash about 7:55 p.m. in the 25200 block of Pacific Highway South, according to a news release.

The lone driver in the suspect vehicle was going southbound on Pacific Highway when it ran a red light and hit another vehicle, the news release stated.

A female passenger in the struck car died, police said, and two other people in the car were hospitalized.

The driver of the striking vehicle fled on foot, police said. The driver’s identity is still unknown.

The investigation into the collision is ongoing.
