RANKIN COUNTY, MS : Man killed in reservoir crash on Wednesday, March 8th 2017

One person died in a three car accident on Northshore Parkway near Pelahatchie Bay Wednesday morning just after 8 a.m.

Rankin County coroner David Ruth identified the victim as 37-year-old Rami Hausey.

A second driver was hurt, and transported to UMMC. That person is now in the ICU.

Rankin County Deputies and the Reservoir Police responded. According to Reservoir Police, three cars were involved in this crash.

Due to the heavy damages the vehicles sustained and injuries of the victims, officials are waiting to provide details until accident reconstructionists are done assessing the scene.

One of the vehicles left the roadway after the collision, went off the shoulder, and down into a grassy area by a fence. The third person involved in the crash drove away from the scene with little to no injuries.
