A man, woman and a teenage boy were killed Tuesday morning in a head-on crash on Florida 100 near Starke, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Laura Wilbert, 35, of Starke and her 16-year-old son, Christian Okrasinski, were killed when their sub-compact Ford Fiesta was hit head-on by a Ford F-250 pickup truck driven by Kevin Booth of Keystone Heights, the Highway Patrol said.
The 53-year-old Booth, also killed in the crash, was heading west in the eastbound lane of the state road just before 7 a.m. when he hit Wilbert’s car, according to the crash report. The impact occurred at the state road’s intersection with Southeast 109th Street.
A witness told Times-Union news partner First Coast News that the truck was passing a slower vehicle on Florida 100 and was in the same lane as the Fiesta when they crashed.
