Joplin,MO : Two injured in weekend crashes on may, Sunday 28th 2017

A Joplin woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 6:35 p.m. Saturday on state Highway 86, a mile south of Joplin in Newton County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Brianna J. Blaylock, 24, was taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin with minor injuries.

The patrol said Blaylock's southbound vehicle ran off the road and hit a tree.

• An Aurora man was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 2 p.m. Saturday on Route EE, 5 miles east of Cape Fair in Barry County, the state patrol reported.

Andrew C. Gaston, 27, was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield with serious injuries.

The patrol said Gaston's westbound vehicle lost control, crossed the centerline and struck an eastbound vehicle driven by Shannon N. Brewer, 44, of Aurora. Brewer was uninjured.
