Wolford, N.D : One person dead, 4 injured, 2 horses dead in truck-wagon crash on state Highway 17, west of Wolford on Saturday, May 28, 2016

A Rugby man was killed and four other people were injured when the horse-drawn wagon they were riding was rear-ended by a three-quarter-ton pickup truck.

The crash happened about 4:30 p.m. Saturday on state Highway 17 just west of Wolford, in Pierce County.

The Highway Patrol says 53-year-old Bradley Cichos, of Rugby, died at the scene, along with the two Clydesdale horses pulling the wagon.

The four other people who were hurt were from Rugby and Wolford and ranged in age from 4 years to 61 years. Their conditions weren't released.

The 75-year-old Wolford man driving the pickup wasn't hurt.

No charges were immediately filed. The patrol is continuing to investigate.
