Claremont, N.H : 44-year-old Christa Osgood died after hit by a car on Charlestown Road on Saturday, Sep 5, 2015

A woman is dead after she was hit by a car in Claremont, New Hampshire.

Police say 44-year-old Christa Osgood of Claremont was walking on Charlestown Road at about 8 p.m. Saturday with another person when they were hit by a van heading north.
Osgood died at the scene.

The other person, 45-year-old Kenneth Lavigne of Newport, New Hampshire, was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition this morning.

Police have not said what led up to the crash, but they say the driver is cooperating with the investigation.
