Hurtsboro, AL : 35-year-old Hurtsboro woman killed after car strikes tree on OCTOBER 12, 2016

A one-car crash on Alabama 51 has left a 35-year-old Hurtsboro woman dead six miles north of the town, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said.

Latasha Marion died in the crash after the 2006 Nissan Maxima she was driving left the road , overturned and struck a tree. She was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma at 1:45 p.m. EST at the scene., said Russell County Coroner Arthur Sumbry Jr.

The coroner said no autopsy is planned but there will be a blood screen conducted by the Department of Forensic Sciences.

The 11:15 a.m. crash remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
