HANCOCK, NH : Hancock police officer, driver, passenger injured in head-on crash on Saturday, 3rd November 2018

A Hancock police officer, another driver and her passenger were injured after a crash Saturday afternoon.

Hancock police said a driver traveling northbound on Stoddard Road tried to avoid a limb in the roadway but lost control of her vehicle, swerved into the southbound lane and struck a Hancock police cruiser head-on.Authorities said the vehicle continued to rotate, striking the cruiser a second time before both vehicles came to rest in a ditch on the side of the road.

Officer Cameron Prior was injured in the crash and taken to Concord Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The other driver was taken to a hospital in Keene and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Her passenger also sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The road was closed for two hours while police investigated.
