Gainesville, FL : Two injured in 20th Avenue crash on Wednesday, 26th October 2016

A Wednesday evening crash near 6200 SW 20th Avenue sent two drivers to the hospital, Gainesvilel police said.

Police investigated a traffic crash involving a Ford Mustang driven by a 27-year-old man who tried to pass a number of cars at high speed, lost control and veered into oncoming traffic.

The Mustang was hit by an oncoming SUV, cutting it in half. The Mustang's driver had life-threatening injuries. The SUV driver had relatively minor injuries.

Traffic homicide investigators are reviewing the crash.
