Police have made an arrest in a wreck involving a school bus and a child who was hit by a car.
Emergency crews were called the corner of Haywood Road and Waterside Drive around 7:45 Tuesday morning.
Police said Jonah VanDoren, 17, of Hendersonville, passed a stopped school bus and struck a 12-year-old Hendersonville Middle School student, who was knocked to the ground.
Police said VanDoren eventually turned himself in to his principal at West Henderson High School.
VanDoren is charged with felony hit-and-run resulting in injury and felony passing a stopped school bus striking a person.
