Garden City,KS : Three injured in Stanton County accident on January, Saturday 3rd 2018
A Colorado woman and a Texas man were injured in an automobile accident in rural Stanton County late Saturday afternoon.
Guadalupe Reyes-Atayde, 50, of Graham, Texas, was westbound in a Dodge Voyager on U.S. Highway 160 about three miles east of Johnson City at about 4:15 p.m., when he veered left of the center lane and struck Porfirio Moreno-Mendoza, 47, of Albuquerque, N.M., in her Chevrolet Silverado, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
Reyes-Atayde’s vehicle rolled over, and he was transported to Wesley Medical Center with serious injuries. Both passengers in the vehicle, including Linda Soliz Fuentes, 52, and Luciano Emmanuel Blea, 3, both of Granada, Colo., also were injured and transported to Wesley Medical Center.
Reyes-Atayde and his passengers were all wearing seat belts.
Fuentes was never admitted to the hospital, and Reyes-Atayde and Blea are in fair condition.
Moreno-Mendoza and his passenger, Jose Alfredo Cadena-Heredia, 24, of Amarillo, Texas, were uninjured. They were not wearing seat belts.
