Newton, KS : One injured Sunday in two-vehicle crash in Harvey County on Sunday afternoon, June 19, 2016

One person was possibly injured in a two-vehicle crash in Harvey County Sunday afternoon.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported that around 3:45 p.m., Tanner M. Tubbs, 32, of Lindsborg, was heading west on Northwest 12th Street, on the west edge of Newton, when he failed to stop at a stop sign and struck the vehicle of Maria L. Jacquez, 46, of Hesston, who was going north through the intersection.

Tubbs’ passenger, Ashley J. Beasley, 33, of Wichita, was sent to Newton Medical Center with possible injuries.

Jacquez, her passenger, Jose G. Molina, 44, also of Hesston, and Tubbs were not injured.

Everyone involved was wearing their seat belts.
