FARR WEST, UT : Multi-car crash in Farr West causes delays on northbound Interstate 15 on Tuesday, 11th September 2018

A car crash is causing major delays in the northbound lanes of Interstate 15 in Farr West.

Around 4 p.m., a crash involving multiple vehicles occurred on the interstate near milepost 349, according to a tweet from the Utah Department of Transportation.

One semitrailer and at least two other vehicles were involved in the crash, according to Utah Highway Patrol spokesman Sgt. Nick Street.

Street said two people were taken via ambulance to McKay-Dee Hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries. Other injuries have been reported but were said to be non-life threatening.

A medical helicopter was called to the scene but was called off as responders decided ground ambulances would be just as fast, according to Street.
