Cincinnati, OH : Driver of a Metro bus that struck and killed a pedestrian and injured his daughter in Hyde Park Square Wednesday night, January 27, 2016

Police say a Cincinnati Metro bus has struck and killed a 73-year-old man and injured his daughter.

Metro spokeswoman Sallie Hilvers tells that the bus was making a left turn when it hit the two people in the city's Hyde Square neighborhood. It happened around 8 p.m. on Wednesday.

Cincinnati Police Lt. Steve Saunders says the injured woman is 41 years old. She's being treated at a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Hilvers says no passengers were on the bus when the accident happened. She says the driver has been employed by Metro for about 10 years.

An investigation is continuing.
