Bow , NH : Car Crashed into Utility Pole at the intersection of Logging Hill Road on Saturday , December 27th 2014

A car crash at the intersection of Logging Hill Road and Short Street in Bow left a neighborhood without power for some time.

Bow police say 48 year-old Denyce Wallace struck a utility pole around 3 a.m. Saturday, just off of Exit 1 on Interstate 89. The crash damaged the car and utility pole, and knocked power out to the homes in the area. As of 7 a.m., about 55 homes were still without power.

Live wires fell on the vehicle. Police had to wait about 45 minutes for Unitil to arrive to the scene before they could take Wallace out.

Wallace was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Police say speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash at this time, but they are still investigating.
