Jacksonville, AL : One person killed another was injured in a two vehicles collision at Edward Grocery when a 2011 Ford Focus On Wednesday, May 18th, 2016

Two vehicles collided Wednesday afternoon on Alabama 204 two miles west of Jacksonville, killing one person and sending another to the hospital, officials said.

The accident occurred near Edward Grocery when a 2011 Ford Focus, headed east, and a 2012 Dodge Ram pickup hit head-on around 4:30 p.m., Calhoun County Coroner Pat Brown said by phone Wednesday night.

Mack Arthur Eatmon Jr., 45, of Jacksonville, was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:15 p.m., Brown said.

Troy Wayne Coots, 52, of Fyffe was taken to Gadsden Regional Hospital, State Trooper Chuck Daniel said by email Wednesday night. Eatmon was driving the Ford and Coots drove the Dodge, Daniel said.

Daniel’s email did not include Coots’ condition.
