Lawrence, MA : Woman captured after police chase in Lawrence ends in crash on Wednesday, 10th October 2018

A woman was detained after a police chase that traveled down Massachusetts Street in downtown Lawrence and ended in a crash Wednesday morning.The incident started about 10:30 a.m. at Seventh and Massachusetts streets, where an officer trying to check the woman’s welfare asked her to move out of the middle of the street, Sgt. Amy Rhoads said.

The woman had stopped the black SUV she was driving in the turn lane, on Massachusetts Street facing south, and was standing outside of it “acting very bizarre,” Rhoads said.
