The Georgetown County Coroner’s Office has shared the name of the man who died in a Georgetown County crash.
Luther River, 75, of Charleston, died at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash, Coroner Chase Ridgeway said.
The crash happened on Highway 17 around 6:10 p.m. Sunday, approximately eight miles north of Pawleys Island, Lance Cpl. Lena Butler with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said.
Two vehicles, a 2011 Honda Accord and a 2023 Subaru Outback, were involved in the crash.
