Three people were killed in an overnight crash on Mountain Loop Highway near Granite Falls, emergency officials said.
Deputies and firefighters responded to the scene, in the 12500 block of Mountain Loop Highway, at about 7:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a serious crash, said a spokesman with Fire District 17.
According to initial reports, a car was found off the highway in heavy brush with two bodies inside. A third victim was ejected from the vehicle.
The dead were reported to be two males and a female. No other information was immediately available about the victims.
The crash apparently happened sometime overnight. The circumstances leading up to the accident are under investigation.
The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office has investigators at the scene.
