Newfane, NY : Young bicyclist injured in collision with car on Lockport Olcott Road on Thursday, July 7, 2016

Ayoung bicyclist was injured after colliding with a car on Lockport Olcott Road about 4 p.m. Thursday, according to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office.

The unidentified victim, described only as a juvenile, was flown to Women and Children’s Hospital, Buffalo. The victim’s condition was unavailable.

The Sheriff’s Accident Investigation Unit said the youth was heading south and crossed into the north lane in front of a car driven by Donald Dillon II, 69, of Appleton.

An investigation is underway.
