Police Identify Woman Killed In Santa Maria California

Santa Maria Police have identified the woman they say was killed in a hit-and-run crash Saturday night.Police say the body of 35-year-old Stacia Parlante, of Santa Maria, was found on the side of the road in the area of Mahoney and Black Road shortly before 10 p.m.

Investigators believe she was struck by a car and that the driver fled the scene northbound on Mahoney Road.

They believe the collision occurred at approximately 9:15 p.m. because that's when Parlante's Santa Barbara County probation ankle monitor came off.Police don't yet have a description of the suspect vehicle.
