LEE COUNTY, FL : Motorcyclist in fatal Fort Myers crash ID'd on Wednesday, August 2, 2017

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that killed a 29-year-old motorcyclist Wednesday afternoon in Fort Myers.

It happened just before 1 p.m. on US-41 near Constitution Boulevard.

Troopers said Joseph Santos, of Miramar, Fla., was heading north on US-41 when he slammed into a LeeTran bus.

The bus, driven by 59-year-old George Phillips, Jr., was turning from US-41 and into a shopping plaza.

Santos died at the scene. Phillips was not injured. The crash remains under investigation.
