LIMA, OH : 16-year-old leads troopers on high speed pursuit on I-75 before crashing stolen vehicl on Thursday, 25th July 2024

A 16-year-old allegedly driving a stolen Chevy Impala led police on a high speed chase starting just before midnight Thursday.

Ohio State Highway Patrol spotted the vehicle traveling north on I-75 near Lima. That tried to pull it over, but the driver would attempt to evade them for 11 miles before striking another vehicle and rolling several times in the median.

The teen was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital with minor injuries, then to the Allen County Juvenile Detention Center where he awaits charges.

He was wearing a seat belt at the time.
