Gainesville, GA : Motorcycle wreck killed two people in northwest Georgia on highway 365 Saturday on September 6, 2014
The Georgia State Patrol says a motorcycle wreck killed two people in northwest Georgia.
Sgt. Anthony Coleman tells The Times in Gainesville two people on a motorcycle were killed in a wreck on Georgia highway 365 around 1 a.m. Saturday.
Coleman says the driver lost control when the motorcycle went into the median.
A Hall County deputy noticed the crash scene around 7 a.m. Coleman says high grass and low visibility in the early morning kept the victims from being found right away.
The victims are a man and a woman believed to be in their early 30s. Authorities were withholding their names until families could be notified.
Coleman says the investigation has determined speed was the main factor behind the crash but alcohol may also have been involved.
