CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Major Crash Investigation Unit arrested Officer Richard Andringa on Friday and charged him with driving while impaired and operating a law enforcement vehicle after consuming alcohol.
Andringa responded to a report of a traffic collision at about 9 a.m. on Orr Road, CMPD said in a news release.
