OMAHA, NE : Bellevue motorcyclist dies from injuries in Thursday crash on Thursday, 6th June 2024

Omaha Police confirmed Friday a motorcyclist died from his injuries following a Thursday afternoon crash in Omaha.

OPD tells 6 News they were called to a crash near 38th and L Streets around 2 p.m. The investigation found a motorcycle operated by Mark Farland, 29, of Bellevue, was headed east on L Street going above the posted 35-mile-per-hour speed limit when he drifted into the westbound lanes and hit a concrete bridge barrier. He came to rest about 100 feet away.

Omaha Fire Department medics transported Farland to Nebraska Medicine with life-threatening injuries; he was wearing a helmet.
