Kamas, UT : One woman killed in fatal crash Route 150 on Sunday night August 9th 2015
Investigators say alcohol may have contributed to a crash Sunday night that killed a Kamas woman.
The crash occurred just before 11 p.m. Sunday when a westbound Mazda on state Route 150, the Mirror Lake Highway, went off the road about 5 miles outside of Kamas and rolled onto its side, the Utah Highway Patrol reported.
Angela Jones, 41, was partially ejected from the car and died in the crash, according to UHP. A 28-year-old man in the car sustained minor injuries. Both are from Kamas.
"We just ask that, if people are drinking, that they not being driving," UHP Sgt. Bryce Rowser said. "We also want to emphasize seat belts. … A seat belt, we feel, could have prevented a fatality in this crash."
The accident remains under investigation, Rowser said. Initial reports indicate Jones was driving at the time of the crash.
