SUV head-on into a tree in Webster Township injured Female Driver

A female driver was taken to the hospital in critical condition after crashing an SUV head-on into a tree in Webster Township Saturday morning, officials said.
Crews were called to the crash on North Territorial Road at Lori Lynn Lane at 11:22 a.m., according to officials from Dexter fire and Huron Valley Ambulance.

Officials did not release the age of the female, but Joyce Williams of HVA said she was taken to University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children's Hospital.

Dexter Area Fire Department officials said the female motorist was headed eastbound on North Territorial at the time of the crash.

Investigators are still trying to determine the cause.

As of 12:20, North Territorial Road was closed between Jennings and Webster Church, according to Washtenaw County dispatch.
