Fort Worth,TX : Teen dies in east Fort Worth crash after car strikes tree on June, Monday 12th 2017

A teenager died early Monday when the car he was driving struck a tree in east Fort Worth, police said.

The single-vehicle accident happened about 12:50 a.m. in the 4000 block of Hampshire Boulevard. Marcus Vargas, 16, died at the scene, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.

Two other passengers about the same age as Vargas were in the car, but their conditions were unknown, said officer Brad Perez, police spokesman.

Police were still investigating the crash Monday afternoon.
