Victoria, TX : Pedestrian injured in wreck on Houston Highway on Wednesday, September 14, 2016

A pedestrian was struck shortly before 10 p.m. by a car on Houston Highway near Sam Houston Drive.

The unidentified woman was walking south in the center lane when she was struck by the eastbound, blue Honda Civic in the inside lane, a police officer said.

The pedestrian was taken to Citizens Medical Center with likely not life-threatening injuries, the officer said.

No more information was available as of 11:45 p.m. Wednesday.
