Jamestown, N.D : Motorcyclist injured in I-94 crash outside of Fargo on Monday, April 3, 2017
A West Fargo, N.D., woman was injured in a motorcycle crash at 1:35 p.m. Monday on Interstate 94 exit 350 westbound near Fargo, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
Danika Murphy, 26, was driving a 2002 Honda motorcycle along the loop ramp from northbound 25th Street to westbound I-94. While attempting to merge onto the interstate, she struck the passenger side of a trailer towed by a Kenworth. The truck was in the far right lane of westbound I-94 at the time, the patrol said.
Murphy was thrown from the motorcycle after impact and landed on the roadway, and the motorcycle came to rest in the north ditch, according to the patrol. The Kenworth stopped on the I-94 westbound shoulder.
Murphy was transported by FM Ambulance to Essentia Health in Fargo for treatment of serious injuries. The driver of the Kenworth, Jacob Jennerman, 31, Weston, Wis, was uninjured.
The patrol is investigating the crash.
