SEWARD COUNTY, NE : Semi driver dies after fiery crash on Interstate 80 on Sunday, 2nd October 2016

Nebraska State Officials said a semi driver was killed in a crash on I-80 near Waco Sunday afternoon.According to the State Patrol, the driver lost control and crashed into the ditch. The rig then caught fire.

Thick black smoke could be seen billowing up from the scene for miles.

Authorities closed down eastbound i-80 while they investigated and cleaned up the wreck.

The State Patrol has not released the identity of the victim.
