LINN COUNTY, IA : Three injured after two-vehicle accident at East Post Rd. and Hickory Wind Ln on Thursday, 17th January 2019

The Linn County Sheriff's Office said three people, including a seven-year-old girl, were injured in a crash at East Post Rd. and Hickory Wind Ln.

First responders arrived on scene just shy of 8 p.m. Thursday, discovering a vehicle driven by Erika Gusta, 28, of Cedar Rapids, was traveling southbound in a northbound lane on East Post Rd.

The sheriff's office says Gusta's vehicle hit another vehicle that was traveling northbound. In that vehicle was a mother and her seven year old daughter.

Sergeant Chad Watkinson with the Linn County Sheriff's Office said everyone involved in the crash was wearing their seat belts when the crash occurred, and they were all transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The Linn County Sheriff's Office, Linn County Sheriff's Rescue, Marion Police Department, Marion Fire Department, and Area Ambulance all responded to the crash.
