Scottsdale, AZ : Truck Driver loses control, slams into Scottsdale home on Wednesday morning, April 22, 2015

Crews responded to a car into a house in Scottsdale on Wednesday morning.

The crash happened around 6 a.m. at a house near 68th Street and McDowell Road.

Air15 video showed a truck into the side of the house with noticeable damage to the house and truck.

Scottsdale Police Sgt. Benjamin Hoster said a 25-year-old female driver was traveling northbound on 68th Street and most likely fell asleep and drifted left of the center lane.

She then struck a curb and went into the carport of the home, damaging the brick exterior. Hoster said the truck did not make entry into the home.

There was an elderly couple in the house, but neither was injured.

A fire official said the driver suffered cuts to her arm and forehead. She was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Hoster said the driver of the pickup truck was not impaired.
