Charlotte, N.C : Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital after crash near Carowinds on May 22, 2014

Emergency crews responded to a wreck involving a vehicle and a motorcycle shortly after 7 p.m. Thursday at South Tryon Street and Moss Road, near Carowinds.
They requested a medical helicopter to airlift a patient with life-threatening injuries to the hospital, MEDIC said.
There was no word on any charges and police are investigating how the crash happened.
