One man killed in motorcycle crash Near Tuscaloosa
Single-vehicle crashes in Tuscaloosa and Marion counties claimed the lives of two motorists in the early morning hours of Sunday and today.
At approximately 12:15 a.m. today, Tuscaloosa resident Kevin Terrill Martin, 41, was killed when the 2003 Suzuki GSX1300 motorcycle he was driving on Old Marion Road crashed.
Alabama State Troopers said the motorcycle skidded off the wet roadway and into a ditch about 3.5 miles south of the Tuscaloosa city limit.
And on Sunday, a Marion woman was killed when the 2002 Infinity she was driving left the roadway and overturned after striking a tree.
Troopers said Staci Terese Wright, 30, was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the 2:40 a.m. crash on Perry County Road 48, about five miles west of Marion.
Additional information regarding each accident was not released and state troopers said investigations continue into both.
