The Washington State Patrol says they are charging a driver with vehicular assault after a DUI related crash early Saturday morning south of Spokane Valley.
The crash happened on State Route 27 near E. Mica Cemetery Road, about 6 miles south of Spokane Valley. E. Mica Cemetery Road was closed for for several hours Saturday morning.
The Washington State Patrol says 21-year-old Johnathon M. Norris rolled his 2006 Subaru Impreza after losing control and driving off the road. 18-year-old Marcus D. Balliet was also in the car. Emergency crews transported both Norris and Balliet to Sacred Heart Medical Center.
Drunk driving and high speeds caused the crash, according to the Washington State Patrol.
