YUBA COUNTY, CA : Man dies, woman arrested on suspicion of DUI after 2 crashes on Hwy. 70 in Yuba County on Saturday, 13th April 2024

A man died in a Yuba County crash on Highway 70 and a woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI in a separate crash early Saturday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP says a 55-year-old man from Olivehurst was driving his Nissan sedan south on Highway 70 near Plumas Lake around 1:20 a.m. when he veered off the road near the Feather River Boulevard exit. The Nissan hit multiple trees and rolled back onto the roadway to block both southbound lanes of 70.
