Police have identified the man who was struck and killed in a hit-and-run in Westwood on Thursday night.

Mario Sibert, 29, was walking in the area of 2436 Westwood Northern Blvd. near Fyffe Avenue just before 7:30 p.m. when he was struck by a van, police said.

Sibert was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center and died there from the injuries he sustained in the wreck, according to a press release from the Cincinnati police traffic unit.

Police are searching for a full size, white van made in the late '80s or early '90s with an extended top and a spare tire on the rear door, police said.
