Elmira,NY : Towanda man gets prison for triple fatal crash on March, Sunday 18th 2018
A Bradford County man who admitted causing a 2016 crash that killed a family of three faces more than 20 years in state prison.
Philip Eugene Frisbie, 40, of Towanda, was sentenced this week in Bradford County Court to eight-and-a-half to 22 years in prison in connection with a head-on crash in July 2016 on the Burlington Turnpike in Burlington Township.
The crash, which was investigated by Pennsylvania State Police at Towanda, killed Sarah L. Heasley, 31, of Towanda, her husband Clifton R. Heasley, also 31, and their 7-year-old son Logan.
Sarah Heasley was driving north on the Burlington Turnpike and Frisbie was southbound when he crossed into the northbound lane and struck Heasley's car head-on, troopers said.
Frisbie acknowledged he used the drug commonly known as ecstasy before the crash. He claimed he couldn't recall the accident.
